Job Summary

The Lab Assistant, HVAC provides instructional and operational support for HVAC laboratory courses. Assists faculty and the Program Coordinator in preparing, maintaining, and organizing HVAC lab environments to support effective hands‑on instruction. Supports student learning by ensuring equipment readiness, lab safety, and instructional efficiency.

Education

• HVAC certification from accredited college or trade school
• Or the equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills

Experience

• Specialized training in HVAC and/or relevant industry certifications
• Three years of recent, successful work experience in the HVAC field or a closely related industry

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates working knowledge of HVAC tools, equipment, and laboratory safety practices.
• Applies industry‑standard HVAC terminology and procedures in instructional and lab settings.
• Supports lab instruction by assisting faculty during hands‑on training activities.
• Maintains awareness of institutional policies, safety guidelines, and instructional standards.
