Job summary

A healthcare provider in Georgia is seeking an Entry-level role responsible for sample processing and exempt screening. Candidates need a High School diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification is preferred. The position involves venipunctures and assisting technical staff in non-clinical tasks. This is a full-time job with a working hour from 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy is preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample processing and testing according to regulatory standards.
• Perform venipunctures and prepare blood specimens.
• Assist technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Skills

Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy

Experience performing EKGs

Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory

Job description

Responsible For: Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
