Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Lab Assistant for day shifts. You will perform sample processing, venipunctures, and assist medical staff in non-clinical tasks within a regulated laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
