Job summary

Texas Oncology Weatherford is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our Weatherford laboratory, with occasional coverage for nearby sites. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule, no weekends or major holidays.

The position supports specimen collection, processing, and basic lab tasks under supervision. Entry-level candidates with phlebotomy experience may advance through levels based on experience and performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Entry level position with potential for growth.

Responsibilities

• Collects appropriate specimens from patients as ordered.
• Maintains proper documentation as described by the QA program including logs and checklists.
• Performs specimen analysis and ensures quality control as directed.
• Preps patients as necessary (e.g., vital signs) and assists with testing procedures.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment per SOPs.
