Job summary

CentraCare Health in central Minnesota is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our laboratory team. You will collect blood samples, support low complexity testing, and help foster trust with patients across Becker and Big Clinics, with travel to St. Joseph, Cold Spring, and Clearwater clinics as needed.

This full-time role offers day shifts (Mon–Fri) 64–72 hours every two weeks, no weekends or holidays. Starting pay is $20.47/hour, with a range of $19.53–$29.28/hour and a full benefits package.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certificate from an accredited program is preferred.

Our Lab Assistant is a support position in the laboratory setting. Students, individuals with patient care background and others with some lab experience would be a great match for this role! This position primarily will work at Becker and Big Clinics but will include travel to the St. Joeseph, Cold Spring, and Clearwater Clinics.

What you’ll do:

• Collect blood samples from the patient
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients
• Perform low complexity testing and culture set-up

Schedule:

• Full-time | 64-72 hours every two weeks
• Day Shift | Monday - Friday | Shifts 7am-4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, or 8:30am-5:30pm
• No weekends or holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $20.47 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range:$19.53 - $29.28 per hour

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prefer graduate from or in the process of pursing a phlebotomy certificate from an accredited laboratory program or medical -related program
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills
