Location/Division Specific Information

Our PPD Laboratory Services team impacts patient health through the expertise of scientists and therapeutic specialists. As a world leader in serving science, our professionals deliver innovative solutions with accuracy and quality.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Prepare slides, monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and water baths.
• Retrieve/move specimens to/from storage, assist in unpacking, load/unload samples and analyzers.
• Generate daily work lists for teams.

Daily Tasks

• Sort, scan, and assign sequence numbers.
• Number HDL tubes for lipid testing.
• Process samples, prepare reagents, and stain slides.
• Maintain laboratory glassware and consumables.
• Perform limited, non-complex tests under supervision.
• Learn company policies and complete routine tasks accurately.

Qualifications

High/Secondary school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational qualification preferred. Technical positions may require a certificate. 0-1 year of relevant experience or equivalent education, training, and skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.
• Data recording and team work capabilities.

Working Conditions and Environment

• Work performed in a clinical environment with potential biological fluid exposure.
• Physical requirements include standing, twisting, crouching, lifting 15-30 lbs, and repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to use computer software and communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform under stress and multi-task.
• Regular attendance required.
