Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated seeks an Application Analyst II to support laboratory applications, partnering with staff, pathologists, clinicians, vendors, and technical teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows. You will help implement upgrades, develop tests, and create end-user documentation to ensure reliable operation of clinical laboratory systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience developing, supporting, or operating software applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and common office productivity tools.
• ability to obtain required Beaker Epic certifications in accordance with program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day application support by responding to end-user incidents, service requests, and system-related issues in a timely and customer-focused manner.
• Troubleshoot application, interface, hardware, peripheral, and instrumentation issues in collaboration with laboratory stakeholders, vendors, and internal technical teams.
• Participate in application implementations, upgrades, testing, configuration, workflow optimization, and change management activities.
• Develop and execute test plans, perform software quality assurance tasks, and support reliable system performance.
• Create and maintain end-user documentation, provide training, and help users confidently operate supported applications.
• Run reports, update tables, maintain application data, and complete operational tasks that support the software environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce disruptions, and strengthen application support processes.
• Participate in regular team meetings to share updates, discuss priorities, and collaborate on team initiatives.
