Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Animal Care Technician I for the CRADL animal facility in San Diego. You will observe and monitor animal health and environment, perform routine husbandry duties, and report concerns to veterinary staff to ensure compliance with guidelines.

The position follows a Tue-Sat 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule with rotating holidays. Relevant QA and safety procedures are required throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in animal or life sciences preferred.
• ALAT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, monitor and document health and environment in the CRADL animal facility.
• Perform routine husbandry tasks: feeding, watering, cage changing and cleaning.
• Maintain QA documentation: temperature strips, room environmental reports, cleaning logs.

Education
