Job summary

SGS is seeking a Lab Analyst I in Wilmington, NC to prepare and analyze samples with precision according to SOPs. You will work independently and in teams to meet daily targets, maintaining safe practices and documentation.

The role emphasizes accurate analytical chemistry and adherence to internal standards. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor degree in chemistry or related field, basic math skills, and experience with MS Office; LIMS experience is a plus and lifting up to 25 lbs is

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or related field, or 3 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field with 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Basic math and reasoning skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with LIMS is a plus.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples following SOPs with instrumentation.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance and calibration of lab instruments.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Assist with client inquiries and CAR responses.
• Input and maintain technical info to support lab operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook and follow internal policies.
