Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, life or clinical sciences or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years of laboratory experience.
  • Must satisfy CLIA requirements for high complexity testing.
  • Good communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform procedures once trained with care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Experience with productivity software (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Flexibility to work weekends/holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs laboratory assays (clinical or research) with documentation following validated protocols.
  • Follows established safety and privacy protocols.
  • Supports development, validation, performance and troubleshooting of laboratory assays (DK tests and kit tests) used in screening.
  • Assists in validation, troubleshooting and management of instrumentation used in screening procedures.
  • Assists with validation, troubleshooting and monitoring of instrument relationships with LIMS.
  • Works as part of the team in preparation and validation of reagents, materials and kits.
  • Contributes data for quality assurance, quality control and competency records per CLIA requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required.
