Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing samples for automated platforms, handling requests from providers, and ensuring accurate data entry and communication with medical staff. High school graduate with strong communication and data entry skills preferred.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months experience in laboratory.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer/data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Accepts specimens and verifies labeling and requisitions to ensure accuracy.
• Resolves issues with unacceptable samples and documentation per SOP.
• Process and accession specimens, log and route to appropriate labs, and support transport.
• Record pre-analytic information into the LIS and assist with QA/audits.
• Provide customer service to laboratory and medical staff and relay critical values as needed.
