Sueno, downtown Dayton's contemporary Mexican restaurant by The Idea Collective and Chef Jorge Guzman, is looking to meet great people! We are adding a Tortillera who will run the masa program and oversee the prep and production of our most cherished and key ingredient.

At Sueno, you will work with heirloom corn imported from Oaxaca, Mexico, and you will have the honor to work with reputable industry professionals on a national level.

Qualifications

• Experience in masa preparation and tortilla production.
• Willingness to learn and develop under chefs.
• Basic kitchen skills required.

Making masa from scratch in a basement in Downtown Dayton is a unique responsibility for just the right person! At Sueno, we can't wait to meet the futurebackbone of our cocina. Working with heirloomcorn imported from Oaxaca, Mexico, our Tortillera will run the masa program and oversee the prep and production of our most cherished and key ingredient.

At Sueno, you will have the honor to work with reputable and respected industry professionals on a national level. We expect you to come with basic skills, but also a thirst for knowledge and development. And boy oh boy, will we provide you with that opportunity.

Compensation is $13-18/hr depending on experience, flexibility, and attitude.
