Job summary

Ednovate invites applications for the Principal-in-Residence (PIR) program in Los Angeles, CA. The PIR is a two-year residency designed to prepare current and rising leaders to take over an Ednovate school as a successor leader.

In year one, you will serve as a full-time member of the school leadership team at an Ednovate high school with embedded learning, mentorship, and professional development. In year two, you will serve as successor at the embedded school, driving outcomes aligned with our

Qualifications

• 2+ years of K-12 school leadership experience with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in academics, culture, and engagement, required; charter schools and/or high school experience strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience managing and coaching adults toward ambitious results, required
• Clear and compelling connection to Los Angeles, preferred
• A California Administrative Credential, Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential, preferred
• Bachelor degree is required

Responsibilities

• Be an instructional leader by supporting coaching cycles, observing lessons, giving feedback, and analyzing data
• Co-lead professional development on curriculum, instructional best practices, and data-driven instruction
• Co-lead student culture initiatives and manage school-wide behavioral systems
• Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development for staff
• Support student recruitment and enrollment to ensure full school enrollment
• Represent the school in the community and at network events
