Job summary

Savills is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead design and construction projects from inception through closeout, coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

In this client-facing role, you will manage teams, oversee design and procurement, and ensure quality across all phases. The position requires four days per week in person with Fridays remote, plus occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field.
• 8+ years in design/construction with on-site experience.
• Construction-focused PM role, not IT/administrative.
• Experience with GMP methodology.
• Experience managing teams and client relationships.
• Strong budget and schedule management understanding.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-design through closeout.
• Oversee architectural and engineering design processes with architects, engineers and consultants.
• Manage design review and value engineering, providing technical oversight.
• Oversee preparation and coordination of construction documents, ensuring compliance with long lead and permitting requirements.
• Manage bidding and procurement for general contractors, including RFPs and negotiations.
• Monitor construction progress via field reports, schedule analysis, and budget tracking; manage RFIs and change orders.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
• Manage vendors, consultants and subcontractors for QA/QC and cost control.
• Create and implement project schedule and budget; manage risks and decisions.
• Maintain client relationships and develop industry network.
• Lead project team members and support senior staff with executive communications.
