Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to join our Security Operations Center. You will respond to incidents, conduct advanced investigations, and lead threat hunting and threat intelligence efforts to strengthen customer security postures.

The role requires 5+ years in security, with 3-4 years in SOC, and hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR tools, and Linux/Windows environments. On-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with 3-4 years in SOC.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Sentinel or CrowdStrike EDR/XDR.
• Strong understanding of SIEM, endpoint security, Linux/Windows.
• Experience in incident response and threat hunting.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence concepts and threat modeling.
• Solid understanding of network traffic analysis and malware indicators.
• Ability to research targeted threat groups and TTPs.
• Familiarity with vulnerability and exploit analysis.
• Strong communication of technical observations to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents and perform threat analysis.
• Remediate high severity security incidents.
• Lead and participate in threat hunting and threat intelligence activities.
• Conduct advanced investigations for critical incidents and provide remediation guidance.
• Analyze infected hosts and network traffic to identify attacker activity.
• Perform malware analysis, forensics, and complex log analysis.
• Tune event streams using internal tools and metrics for security operations
• Provide context for complex incidents and assemble technical reports.
• Develop standard runbooks for day-to-day security monitoring operations.
• Mentor junior analysts in triaging activities and escalation handling.
