Job summary

Kelly Services in Rancho Cordova, CA, seeks an L2 Inventory & Lab Support Technician to back Product Validation inventory and day-to-day lab operations. You will manage hardware, process JIRA requests, and handle shipping/receiving with precision.

• Experience in inventory, lab operations, logistics, IT support, or engineering support.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, SSDs, Windows/Linux, and system setup.
• Experience with inventory or asset-management systems and ticketing systems such as JIRA.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 25-30lbs and utilize server lift for racking.
• Work standing up most of the time – 80%.

Responsibilities

• Manage organized Product Validation inventory and support engineers with inventory-related requests.
• Maintain accurate records in client’s System of Record (ELM) for PPHW, SSDs, components, and equipment.
• Process and prioritize JIRA inventory and lab-support requests while meeting established SLA expectations.
• Maintain clear communication with customers through JIRA, Teams, and email regarding request status and blockers.
• Process incoming and outgoing domestic and international shipments, including receiving, tracking, and required documentation.
• Support basic lab requests such as OS installation/reimaging, system setup, drive preparation, SSD installation/removal, formatting, secure erase, labeling, and basic hardware setup.
• Support inventory audits, reconciliation, hardware returns, RMAs, and material disposition.

Job Summary

• Strong organization, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently prioritize requests and follow documented processes.
• Must be able to lift 25-30lbs and utilize server lift for racking and moving.
• Work standing up most of the time – (80%).
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SSD/storage, semiconductor, validation, or data‑center lab environments.
• Experience with OS imaging, drive preparation, BIOS/BMC basics, or hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with domestic/international shipping and RMA processes.
• ISO9001 Experience is a plus.

• Properly prepared systems and drives for engineering use.
• Accurate shipping/receiving documentation.Clear status updates, issue tracking, and escalation of blockers.
