Qualifications

• BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers required.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Ohio.
• Knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral and nursing sciences to meet complex care needs.
• Preferred membership in a related professional organization.
• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Minimum of two years Labor and Delivery nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family; documents findings and communicates with the care team.
• Plans and individualizes care, creates goals with patient/family, and coordinates discharge planning.
• Provides a safe, respectful environment; applies ethical decisions and follows physician orders.
• Evaluates plan of care with the team and revises as needed; supervises delegated care.
• Performs technical skills, administers medications, and uses equipment safely.
• Demonstrates ownership of professional development and supports student learning.
