Job Description:
- The main function of the L&D Instructional Designer/Developer is to consult, scope, recommend, design, and develop high-quality, fully accessible, multi-approach blended learning, evaluation, and performance solutions supporting complex, highly visible, fast-paced learning projects.
Accountabilities:
- Support highly complex learning projects by delivering timely, high-quality, consistent learning solutions that positively impact client business metrics.
- Synthesize, simplify, and communicate complex information and theoretical concepts clearly, applying principles of clear language.
- Collaborate directly with Course Owners and subject matter experts to capture content knowledge, identify performance gaps, needs, and develop appropriate solutions within deadlines.
- Act as a confident, collaborative partner and trusted advisor to Learning Business Partners, Designers, and Business stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with project team members.
- Influence and persuade with confidence and tact.
- Develop relationships and leverage partners to gather relevant data.
- Design and develop engaging, interactive blended learning solutions to meet learning and performance objectives.
- Ensure solutions align with the client's brand, accessibility standards, and diversity and inclusion principles, managing scope, risks, and problem resolution.
- Leverage best practices, processes, and measures across design, development, and evaluation.
- Analyze data to tell meaningful stories and inform decisions.
- Maintain expertise in learning and performance consulting, staying updated on external trends and best practices.
- Provide thought leadership in design and development, sharing knowledge within the team.
- Adapt and prioritize work effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
- Identify and manage risks, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Apply business acumen to establish credibility with clients.
Must Have:
- 8+ years' experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer.
- Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate.
- 4+ years of evaluation, measurement, or business analysis experience.
- Experience creating training evaluation surveys (Kirkpatrick Levels 1-4) and competency assessments.
- Knowledge of Question Design best practices.
- Experience with WCAG 2.2 and testing with JAWS Screen Reader.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced skills in creating accessible learning and training assessment deliverables across modalities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Articulate 360, and developing assessments on Qualtrics and LMS.
Nice To Have:
- Experience supporting the financial industry on complex projects.
- Certification in Training Evaluation (e.g., Kirkpatrick Partners, ATD).
- Skills in video development using Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia, and Vyond.
- Process improvement or Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends.
Degree/Certifications Required:
