Job summary

DRW, a Chicago-headquartered trading firm, seeks a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own and scale DRW’s Kubernetes infrastructure, partnering with trading desks, data scientists, and enterprise apps teams.

You will automate repetitive tasks, onboard new applications, deliver demos and lightning talks, and coach engineers toward operational excellence while maintaining top-tier reliability.

Qualifications

• Extensive Kubernetes administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage and containerization fundamentals.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Service-focused mindset with resourceful problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve infrastructure, processes, and standards for DRW’s Kubernetes platform.
• Collaborate with business units to onboard and deploy applications into the platform.
• Promote the Kubernetes platform via demos, lightning talks and presentations.
• Automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service to platform users.
• Coach engineers to uphold best practices and high standards of operational excellence.
