Job summary

Cadre5, based in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, is seeking a Kubernetes Software Engineer to support the OLCF Slate Service. The successful candidate will focus on developing and maintaining custom Kubernetes operators while collaborating closely with various development teams.

This full-time permanent position allows for telecommuting, with occasional travel to the Oak Ridge facility. A bachelor's degree in a scientific field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes & CNCF ecosystem.
• Production experience in at least one compiled language.
• Ability to obtain federal public trust clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom Kubernetes operators.
• Maintain and test Kubernetes operator code in Go/Ansible.
• Engage with teams to tailor cluster experience.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support.
