Job summary

Google is seeking a senior Security Engineer to protect and harden Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. You will lead Security and Software Engineers to identify vulnerabilities, collaborate with product teams, and drive major security improvements across Google's cloud services.

You will leverage AI/ML approaches to automate security workflows and guide roadmap for attack-surface reduction and remediation at scale. Exceptional leadership and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 8 years of security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 8 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 5 years of experience in managing a team of engineers or security professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Security and Software engineers.
• Identify and eliminate vulnerabilities across Google Cloud Platform products and shared infrastructure.
• Guide AI/ML-driven approaches to automate vulnerability identification, triage, mitigation and remediation.
• Collaborate with global teams to align strategy and technical direction.
