Job summary

Actalent in Tampa, FL is seeking a Platform / DevSecOps Engineer with a DoD Secret Clearance to join a large, collaborative engineering team. You will design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on‑prem environments, while guiding tenants on best practices and secure deployment patterns.

You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and tooling to enable reliable, scalable application delivery in a hybrid work setting with strong customer focus and cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes in production.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Scripting and automation with Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI to support automated pipelines.
• Translate tenant requirements into effective Kubernetes configurations.
• Solid understanding of cloud and on‑prem deployment models.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Monitor and optimize clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement security best practices to protect workloads.
• Collaborate with developers to tailor Kubernetes configurations to needs.
• Provide guidance and training to platform tenants on best practices.
• Troubleshoot cluster and containerized application issues.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling for deployment and operations.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design for reliable delivery.
• Stay current with Kubernetes and DevSecOps trends and propose improvements.
• Engage with a large, collaborative engineering team on innovative solutions.
