Job summary

Peregrine Advisors LLC is seeking a skilled DevSecOps/Platform Engineer to build and secure cloud-native pipelines for government clients. You will own CI/CD workflows on AWS, use Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code, and integrate SAST/DAST/SCA with automated health checks and rollback.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure security, reliability, and auditability throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps or platform engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with security gates, using AWS-native tools or comparable tools.
• Infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or Terraform, and Docker image creation and containerization.
• Experience deploying Kubernetes clusters and managing them.
• Automated security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA) with vulnerability scanning.
• Python scripting; Bash is a plus; Linux proficiency.
• Strong networking knowledge including routing, load balancing, and APIs.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Version control with Git; monitoring and logging.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning into delivery paths.
• Automate provisioning, health checks, and rollback with evidence generation.
• Support Docker and Kubernetes workloads; troubleshoot infra, network, deploy, and security faults.
• Implement NIST SP 800-53 controls and maintain continuous monitoring evidence.
• Automate tasks with Python; leverage AI-assisted tooling for speed and quality.
