Peregrine Advisors LLC in Washington, DC, is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer for a hybrid role. You will help run secure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation behind federal systems.

The role requires 1+ years in software or operations engineering, scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell, and familiarity with AWS, Docker, and IaC tools. Competitive salary and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering or related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in software development, platform engineering, or operations engineering.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and at least one pipeline tool.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and containerization.
• Basic container orchestration concepts and IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Foundational Linux, networking, APIs, load balancing, and web apps.
• Security-aware delivery and experience with AI-assisted tooling is a plus.
• Proficient in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines and deployment automation with guidance from senior engineers.
• Write infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Add security scanning, vulnerability checks, and policy controls to pipelines.
• Manage AWS environments and Docker containers, including orchestration, monitoring, and logging.
• Map and implement NIST 800-53 controls and automate evidence.
• Script repeatable operational tasks in Python, Bash, or PowerShell and fix findings.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for scripting, testing, and pipelines, with thorough review.
