Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior CI/CD System Administrator to own our enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure, securing deployments for GitLab and Jenkins pipelines. You will architect multi-environment clusters and champion Configuration as Code, mentoring a team of engineers in a high-stakes, on-site DoD-oriented environment.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.01-m IAT II, and 5+ years of relevant experience, with a focus on cloud native DevOps and IaC practices in an enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps CI/CD environment.
• Architecture design for enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure to support GitLab/Jenkins pipelines.
• Security reviews and end-to-end implementation of Kubernetes architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement clusters for Development, Test, Staging, Production.
• Configure deployments with ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Security Contexts.
• Perform Ingress TLS Termination and IaC with Ansible/Puppet/Chef.
• Mentor subordinate project staff and lead engineering team.
