Job summary

SciTec, a DoD contractor in Dayton, Ohio, seeks a DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer to design and deploy CI/CD pipelines, containerized apps, and secure deployment workflows in Kubernetes environments.

You will work with GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Istio to automate builds, tests, and releases across development, test, and production. A DoD clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences.
• At least two years of professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using CI/CD.
• Strong experience designing and developing container deployment solutions using Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Amazon EKS and Istio service mesh; familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test, and production.
• Experience with authentication technologies such as Keycloak.
• At least one year of Python3 experience and Linux proficiency.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance and work 100% on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks.
• Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments.
• Create, maintain, and improve CI pipelines in GitLab CI.
• Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve issues.
• Implement and maintain version promotion of applications within CI pipelines.
• Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for artifact management, testing, and quality assessment.
• Implement CD and deploy applications into orchestrated Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot deployed applications in development and production environments.
• Execute software release processes including release branches and tests.
• Implement and maintain Helm charts.
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed.
