Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) seeks a Knowledge Manager to develop, maintain, and mature enterprise knowledge assets that improve service delivery and decision making across state agencies.

You will lead efforts to reduce information silos and strengthen knowledge governance practices, working with SMEs and IT teams to ensure accurate, accessible knowledge for staff and partners. This role emphasizes collaboration, governance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Library and Information Science, Knowledge Management, Information Science, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge-centered service (KCS), ITIL, or KM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a long-term knowledge management roadmap aligned with state IT goals and service delivery.
• Source, validate, and organize information from distributed systems and SMEs for enterprise use.
• Collaborate with content managers and SMEs to maintain structured, accessible knowledge assets.
