Job summary

Phoenix Group of Virginia, Inc. seeks a Knowledge Management Specialist to provide on-site and off-site support to CT1 Community Leaders in planning and executing CVN availabilities from a shipyard perspective.

You will assist in organizing KM events, support Carrier Project Teams, and help ensure effective knowledge capture and dissemination across the program while maintaining security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree with direct involvement in CVN availabilities planning/execution
• Experience planning and executing CVN availabilities from shipyard perspective
• Knowledge Management experience may substitute years in CVN planning

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site/off-site knowledge management support to CT1 leaders in planning and execution of KM processes
• Assist in planning and facilitation of knowledge management events and related meetings

Job description

Primary Functions

Provide on-site/off-site knowledge management support to the CT1 Community Leaders (e.g., KSN Process Masters, KMSO, CT1 PD, Focal Points) in the planning and execution of all aspects of the knowledge management process, and assist in the planning and facilitation of knowledge management events.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for events/meetings: Knowledge Management Community of Practice (KMCoP) Face to Face meeting, Three Leadership Group (3LG) Face to Face meeting, CT1 Annual Community Event, Availability Hot Washes, KSN Meetings, and CVN Retrospects.
• Provide staff support to the CT1 program and Carrier Project Teams.

Position Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business management or technical management with 3 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard perspective; OR Associate’s degree with 5 years professional experience; OR 5 years in Knowledge Management with 7 years in CVN planning/execution.
• Required skills and experience: 3 years professionally involved in planning and execution of CVN availabilities, Bachelor's degree; OR 5 years professionally involved in planning and execution with Associate’s degree; OR 5 years in Knowledge Management with 7 years in CVN planning/execution.
• Certificates: None.

Additional Requirements

• Employee must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET security clearance.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship required.
• Satisfactory criminal/traffic/credit background check required for entry to NNS shipyard.

Travel & Location

Travel is required, up to 12 trips per year (e.g., Semi-annual 3LG and Annual Community meeting, KMCoP face to face, KSN Face to faces, Hot Washes, etc.). Regular and recurring deckplate presence at the Government site is required.
