Key Responsibilities
  • Records Management: Execute and oversee records management programs in strict compliance with Department of the Air Force and Department of War directives, including DAFMAN 33-363. Develop, maintain, and audit electronic file plans, manage data disposition schedules, and ensure all classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) records meet compliance standards.
  • Knowledge Management Strategy: Champion knowledge sharing across the enterprise by aligning information architecture with DoW/DAF mission objectives. Develop KM strategies, taxonomies, and standard operating procedures to retain institutional knowledge and facilitate seamless information flow.
  • DAF Office 365 (DAF365) Administration: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the DAF365 environment. Architect, manage, and optimize SharePoint Online sites, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive repositories. Ensure all DAF365 collaboration spaces adhere to DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) security constraints.
  • Collaboration & Workflow Tools: Oversee and optimize additional workflow platforms, including Jira and Confluence, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and securely integrated with broader DoW/DAF systems.
  • Process Improvement & Training: Identify bottlenecks in mission information flow. Implement streamlined workflows and proactively train personnel on DAF365 capabilities, KM best practices, and secure data handling procedures.
  • Battle Rhythm & Task Management: Support the tracking of action items, taskers, and oversight boards by ensuring relevant documentation, historical records, and decision-support data are readily available to leadership to maintain operational cadence.
Work Environment

  • Working Hours: Standard – Core hours 0900 - 1500
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or 10 years of relevant professional experience).
  • Records Management Skills: Demonstrated experience with DoW/DAF Records Management policies, lifecycle management, and Electronic Records Management (ERM).
  • DAF365 & KM Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in managing and structuring DAF Office 365 (DAF365) enterprise collaboration tools, specifically SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams within DoD security boundaries.
    • Proven experience developing and maintaining KM strategies, taxonomies, and information architecture within a complex government or military organization.
    • Experience tracking action items, managing taskers, and coordinating documentation for oversight boards.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to train personnel on KM tools and translate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with SAP eligibility.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree or Certification: Master’s degree, Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) certification, or PMP certification preferred.
  • DoD Acquisition Experience: Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, lifecycles, and required documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Lean Six Sigma or similar certification demonstrating the ability to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
