Job summary

Plona Partners seeks an experienced Knowledge Management Attorney in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on transforming how litigation and labor & employment matters are captured, organized, delivered and scaled through KM, AI, and technology integration.

You will work with attorneys, leadership, and business teams to build resources, templates, and workflows that improve efficiency and consistency across matters, while exploring innovative AI-enabled solutions in a BigLaw setting.

Qualifications

• JD required with admission to practice.
• 5+ years of substantive legal practice.
• Strong Litigation experience; Labor & Employment exposure valued.
• Law firm experience preferred.
• Exceptional drafting, writing and analytical skills.
• Understanding of sophisticated legal workflows and work product.
• Interest in legal technology, AI and knowledge management.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain model documents, templates, and precedents.
• Improve organization, metadata, and access to high-value work product.
• Create workflows for efficiency in Litigation and Labor & Employment matters.
• Partner with attorneys to apply KM and automation to legal service delivery.
• Collaborate with IT, BI, Information Governance and Training teams.
• Support AI and emerging technology implementation and adoption.
• Evaluate new KM platforms and participate in pilots and QA.
• Monitor AI developments and applicability in complex matters.
• Develop knowledge-sharing initiatives across groups.
• Use data to identify trends and insights for practice areas.
