Job summary

Muncie Power Products, Inc. is hiring for a WIP Kitting Technician in Fairmount, IN. This full-time role supports manufacturing by preparing and staging components, assembling kits, and ensuring timely delivery to production lines.

The position requires attention to detail, basic fabrication knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred, ISO awareness is a plus, and the role is on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalence.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
• Experience with basic fabrication equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory systems, work orders, and BOMs.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift license required.
• Knowledge of ISO or quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull, organize, and stage components for production work orders.
• Assemble kits based on BOMs, ensuring accuracy.
• Coordinate with inventory control to resolve shortages.
• Label and package kits for traceability.
• Transport kits to WIP staging areas or lines.
• Maintain clean and organized kitting area.
• Perform cycle counts and assist in inventory reconciliation.
• Communicate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to meet schedules.
• Escalate material issues that could impact production.
