Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; leadership/related degree is a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience in production or warehouse management with supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills; comfortable hands-on in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of shop-floor operations, material handling equipment, safety standards, and union regulations/agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a union team: supervise material handlers and kitting staff, set schedules, deliver training, manage performance, and resolve issues.
• Oversee line delivery activities to prevent production disruptions.
• Uphold union agreements: work with union reps to maintain a positive work environment.
• Coordinate with production, warehousing, and buyers to address material concerns and align expectations; manage returns and replacements of defective goods.
• Produce and interpret reports on delivery times and inventory levels; track time, attendance, vacation, and coverage for your team.
• Run daily kitting operations: distribution, inventory control, and fulfillment across the Ripon shop floor; coordinate with Manitowoc as needed.
• Monitor stock levels; trigger replenishment; conduct inventory audits; verify materials against production schedules.
• Oversee safe material handling; reinforce safety protocols; Tackle transportation or supply chain snags quickly.
• Analyze kitting workflows; implement upgrades to support production targets.
• Approve union team members’ time and vacation requests; ensure required safety and compliance training.
