AppleOne is seeking a Kitting Supervisor to oversee daily kitting, material fulfillment, and inventory control in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will supervise kitting staff, coordinate material staging, and ensure timely delivery of correct materials with proper documentation.
The role partners with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve material flow, accuracy, productivity, and overall production support.
Job Summary
The Kitting Supervisor oversees daily kitting, inventory control, and material fulfillment operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leader supervises kitting personnel, coordinates material staging and production priorities, and ensures production receives the correct materials, quantities, revisions, and documentation on time.
The Kitting Supervisor works closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, productivity, and overall production support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily kitting and material fulfillment operations.
Assign and prioritize work based on production schedules and operational needs.
Oversee accurate picking, verification, assembly, and staging of production kits.
Supervise, train, coach, and develop kitting personnel.
Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve shortages, discrepancies, and transaction errors.
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP/WMS transactions for material movement, issuing, transfers, and adjustments.
Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and inventory control processes.
Support material traceability, barcode scanning, labeling, lot control, and serial number tracking.
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve material issues impacting production.
Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, kitting productivity, kit completion, shortages, and on-time kit delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve workflow, material movement, warehouse organization, and system utilization.
Support Lean, 5S, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, or kitting.
1–2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role (Warehouse Lead or similar).
Hands-on experience supporting production with material supply or kitting for product assembly.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP/WMS systems and inventory control practices.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to read BOMs and work orders.
Manufacturing experience required; aerospace or regulated environments preferred.
