Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) to support the restaurant service and ensure clean pots, pans, and dishware for residents. You will assist the culinary team and keep the dishwashing area orderly, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Prior dishwasher or kitchen support experience is a plus, as is the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Card a plus.
• 6–12 months in dishwasher or kitchen support is a plus.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to established protocols.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Promptly remove trash, recycling, and food waste to keep the kitchen organized.
• Clean mats and garbage pails.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, storage areas, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Support the kitchen staff during meal preparation and service by replenishing supplies and equipment.
• Resupply chemicals, towel dispensers, and soap dispensers are required for sanitary operations.
