Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a part-time Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) to support the community restaurant. You will ensure clean pots, dishes and utensils for meals, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sanitary dish area, assisting with prep needs, and helping keep the kitchen organized. The role emphasizes teamwork, ability to stand for long periods, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus.
• 6–12 months experience in dishwasher or kitchen support is a plus but not required.
• Past work in senior living, healthcare or hospitality is desirable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Dry and store cleaned items properly.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized.
• Remove trash, recycling and food waste promptly.
• Clean mats and garbage pails.
• Sanitize food prep surfaces and storage areas as needed.
• Support kitchen staff by replenishing supplies and equipment.
