Job summary

HarborChase of Jasper is seeking a Utility Associate to support the food and beverage team in a senior living community. The role includes dishwashing, trash control, kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with food prep under supervision.

Responsibilities emphasize safe, organized, and sanitary operations; the candidate should be able to work with residents and staff, disclose any impairing medications, and follow established safety procedures daily.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education.
• Experience in cooking for large groups is a plus.
• Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and fire and safety procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs dish and pot washing and general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room area.
• Assists in ordering and storage of food and non-food products.
• Sets up and maintains the pot and dish washing area.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.
• Assists in the preparation of food as directed by supervisor.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions and safety concerns.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe kitchen.
