Job summary

HarborChase is seeking a utility associate to support the food and beverage team in our Plano, TX community. The role involves dish and pot washing, trash control, and helping maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment for residents and staff.

You will assist in ordering and storing supplies, set up washing areas, sanitize equipment, and report any malfunctions. A high school education and willingness to work in a team with senior residents are required, with prior food service experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education.
• Experience in cooking for large groups a plus.
• Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of fire and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs dish and pot washing and general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room area.
• Assist in ordering and storage of food and non-food products.
• Sets up and maintains the pot and dish washing area.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.
• Assists in the preparation of food as directed by supervisor.
• Notify Dir. of Food and Beverage or any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen.
• The ability to work in a safe and alert manner.
• The ability to take ownership for associate’s safety and the safety of the residents.
• Must disclose any medication that might impair associate’s ability to perform the job safely or competently.
