Job summary

Ramirez Hospitality Group seeks a Captain to train new team members to the LDP standard and keep the line sharp when the kitchen is busy. The role centers on coaching, scheduling daily learning, and certifying progress with the Kitchen Manager.

You will lead expo during peak service, ensuring the pass meets spec, manage board calls, and coordinate the line to sustain pace; you will drill food safety and cross-train with the crew, in the trainee's strongest language where possible.

Qualifications

  • Six years of experience inside the LDP system.
  • Bilingual preferred; training in the trainee's strongest language.
  • Clean conduct record and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Runs all station training using RHG University workbooks and playbooks.
  • Owns the trainee's daily plan: what they learn, what they practice, and what gets checked before shift ends.
  • Signs off on station certifications alongside the Kitchen Manager.
  • Trains in the trainee's strongest language.
  • Reports trainee progress to the Kitchen Manager weekly.
  • Expo command: owns expo window during peak service, coordinates line, and times tickets to maintain pace.
  • Drills: runs food safety drills, taste drills, and station cross-training with the crew.
