Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to join our deli team. You will interact with customers, prepare deli items, and keep the self-serve areas clean and stocked. No experience?

No problem—we provide training and supportive guidance throughout your shift. In this role you may cross-train in other store duties, work in varying temperatures, and learn essential food safety practices while delivering friendly, fast service to travelers and local customers.

• Cross-training in other departments may occur.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service at the deli and assist with cashier duties as needed.
• Prepare deli items per guides (salads, sandwiches, wraps, fruit, parfaits).
• Maintain cleanliness and stock in deli, coffee, and fountain areas.
• Follow company policies and food safety procedures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.


• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.


• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.


• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.


• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
