Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member in New York. You will interact with customers, help maintain a clean, stocked deli area, and support the cashier team as needed. No experience required—we will teach you and provide growth opportunities within a family-owned company.

Responsibilities include preparing deli items, assisting with food safety, and rotating stock. This role requires the ability to lift 25 pounds and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings and assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products such as salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc., following preparation guides.
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions using required methods and technologies.
• Cross-training opportunities in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Physical ability to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in varied temperatures.

• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross‑training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
