Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced deli environment. You will help prepare deli items and keep the area clean and well stocked throughout shifts.

No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided; opportunities to cross-train in other store areas and advance within the company are available. This role supports the store's busy operations and customer-focused service philosophy.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Customer service oriented role in a deli/kitchen environment.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds; ability to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service and answer menu questions.
• Prepare deli items per guides: salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches and wraps.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness in deli and preparation areas.
• Cross-train in other store roles as needed (Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Maintenance, Leadership).
• Support cashier team and keep deli and beverage areas stocked and welcoming.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
