Job summary

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores in Saint Joseph, MO is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly, frontline service in our deli area.

You will prepare salads, sandwiches, fruit cups and wraps, while keeping the display clean and stocked and assisting other store teams as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about menu offerings and assist deli area staff with cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Accurately prepare deli products such as salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches, wraps and parfait cups.
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Move, lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
