Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to support deli operations, prepare fresh items, and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail kitchen. You’ll keep the deli stocked, maintain cleanliness, and work with the team to ensure quality, speed, and safety standards.

No prior experience is required—we provide on-the-job training and opportunities to grow. Benefits include tuition assistance, PTO, flexible scheduling, a 401(k) match, and comprehensive health insurance.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings and assisting store cashier team members in deli areas.
• Accurately prepare deli products such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups, and more as instructed.
• Follow company policies to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier or Facility Maintenance may occur.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
