Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Kitchen Team Member for our deli. No experience required; we will teach you. You will provide friendly customer service, keep the deli stocked and clean, and help prepare fresh salads, sandwiches, and fruit cups.

You’ll learn food safety practices and may cross-train in other departments. You must be able to lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures. Join a team that values growth and reliability.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Demonstrates friendly, helpful attitude and strong work ethic.
• Able to learn menu items and preparation guides.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with menu questions and service at the deli.
• Prepare deli items per guides (salads, sandwiches, fruit cups, parfaits).
• Maintain food safety standards and clean deli area throughout shift.
• Support store cashier and other duties as needed (cross-training).
• Lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
