Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to support our deli and customer service. You’ll prepare salads, sandwiches, fruit and wraps, keep the deli area clean, and assist cashiers as needed. No prior experience required—we’ll train you and you’ll learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deli environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings and assisting store cashier in maintaining deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Accurately prepare deli products per preparation guides (salads, fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfaits, etc.).
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
