Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is hiring a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher to support a fast-paced kitchen and guest experience. You will help prep, cook to standards, and keep the kitchen clean and organized while working with front-of-house staff for timely service.

Flexibility is needed for evenings, weekends, and holidays. No prior kitchen experience is required but is a plus. Join a lively team focused on hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for 8–10 hours.
• Able to lift 25–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior kitchen experience is not necessary but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to KPOT's standards.
• Assist in food preparation and ensure ingredients are fresh and ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
• Manage time to ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate allergy orders clearly with front-of-house and management.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, hospitality-focused attitude.
• Be a team player and help others to ensure guest satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).


• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.


• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.


• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• Prior kitchen experience is not necessary but preferred.
