Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking Restaurant Team Members for our travel center location. Our cooks play a vital role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently.

They work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to prepare quality food, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow safety and hygiene guidelines. Our cashiers provide a pleasant experience for guests in a fast-paced environment!

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: chop vegetables, marinate meats, measure ingredients, and prepare components for cooking.
• Cooking and Cooking Assistance: cook or assist in dishes and monitor temperature/quality.
• Cleanliness and Safety: keep kitchen clean and comply with health/sanitation guidelines.
• Inventory Management: restock supplies and monitor inventory with FIFO practices.
• Team Collaboration: work with kitchen and front-of-house staff and assist training when needed.
• Adherence to Procedures: follow recipes, portion sizes, and allergen handling.
