What we need in a nutshell

We love creating exciting dining concepts across our locations and finding talented chefs to take them forward. In this Kitchen Team Leader role, you will be preparing and cooking for a busy restaurant and helping to manage a team of Line Chefs, Kitchen Assistants, and Kitchen Porters.

What truly makes us special is our team of people making all this happen. We are growing and are now looking for a Guest Experience Manager who cares about their team and guests as much as we do!

Our Mill Rythe resort, set on a peaceful estuary, has undergone a £10m refurbishment featuring our cocktail bar, The Missing Squirrel, and our new restaurant, The Green Room.

You will be actively involved with your team, ensuring meals are prepared, cooked, and served to the highest standards, delighting our guests. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the kitchen management team in overseeing all aspects of the Back of House (BOH) operations and acting as the main point of contact on shift
• Preparing and cooking meals with the assistance of Line Chefs and Kitchen Assistants, ensuring compliance with dish specifications
• Controlling food costs through effective stock management
• Implementing health, safety, and hygiene policies to ensure safety for team and guests
• Identifying team members' development needs and providing coaching and support

Note: Holidays may occur during peak times, including bank holidays and weekends, so flexibility is required.

Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need

We seek an enthusiastic team player with a passion for food, demonstrating:

• At least a Level Two Hygiene Certificate
• Experience working as a chef in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
• Experience with stock control and ordering
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• An eye for detail and the ability to think on your feet
• Resilience under pressure

Experience supervising others in a busy holiday park kitchen is a plus.
