Job summary

The GIANT Company in Harrisburg is seeking a dedicated team member to prepare deli items, pizzas, and hot bar offerings per SOP, ensuring quality and freshness for our customers.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain product flows, organize displays, and support weekly ad plans. This role requires physical endurance, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to train and assist teammates in a fast-paced retail kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and equipment at shift start, and prepare for duties.
• Production planning management.
• Invoice reviewing.
• Prepare and display products per POG/SOP.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, equipment, displays, floors, and counters.
• Maintain daily food safety logs.
• Track and record loss (KLT).
• Train team members.
• Make sandwiches, pizzas, and related items per SOP.
• Serve pizza; cook, cut, and package.
• Assist customers with meat/cheese, portioning and labeling.
• Prepare grab-and-go items.
• Move chicken and roast; prepare and label.
• Clean roaster; manage oil.
• Prepare fried chicken and wrap.
• Add oil and clean fryer.
• Break down and clean equipment every 4 hours.
• Order product for smoked program from the meat dept.
• Produce smoked products per SOP.
• Clean with cleaning equipment.
• Record keeping as assigned.
• Track losses and markdowns and Flashfoods.
• Order reviews.
• Upload live freight.
• Merchandise programs: $5 and $7, salads, entrees, hot bar, pizza, and made-to-order items.
• Plan weekly circular ad.
• Organize sales floor cooler and freezer.
