Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation seeks a qualified Kitchen Maintenance & Repair Technician to support Department of State facilities. You will perform PM/CM on kitchen systems, troubleshoot, and conduct routine inspections to prevent failures, while assisting with minor repairs and inventory tasks.

The role requires a TS clearance, a high school diploma, and 3–5 years in facilities maintenance or related trades, with experience in repairing commercial kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Top Secret security clearance required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of facilities maintenance or related trades experience.
• Experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment.
• Able to read and interpret technical/OEM manuals, and order parts.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on kitchen systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment failures and performs repairs to restore function.
• Conducts routine inspections of kitchen systems and identifies deficiencies.
• Supports minor facility repairs (carpentry, drywall, painting).
• Adheres to safety procedures and DoS policies.
• Supports after-hours or on-call emergency response as required.
• Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in safe condition.
• Assists with inventory tracking and materials management.
